My Final Post of the Term

Yes, my dear followers, now that we have come to the end of the semester, I wanted to share with you my opinions about the Current Issues in Teaching course. The course enabled us to use and learn technology effectively. It provided us with the opportunity to see in practice how various applications will make our lives easier. But while I was learning the applications, I was not very successful in time management. Other than that it was enjoyable. In terms of convenience, as I started to use technology, I realized that it was not as difficult a tool as I thought and I broke my prejudice against the course. In terms of difficulties, editing videos and getting lost while exploring some applications caused me to be a little more distant towards the course. But still, there were tasks that i did with great fun. The task I enjoyed doing the most was the flipped classroom. As a teacher candidate, it was extremely proud to see myself teaching a lesson, to watch it, and to share it and let people see it, too ! Since we were involved in the teaching process while preparing the video, I enjoyed it because even though we had difficulty editing the video, we produced a successful job in the end. The task I disliked most was preparing a corpus-based task. Since I had a little difficulty understanding the corpus, it took me a long time to prepare it. If I were to make an improvement regarding the course, I think it would be about deadline :) Maybe the deadline for the given tasks can be extended and we can produce even more successful products. However, other than that, the instructions were presented to us in a sufficient and clear manner in this course. Finally, I would like to call out to the students who will take this course. Break your prejudices and take advantage of the good features of technology. If you want to move your future lessons away from monotony and traditional methods, implement and learn the tasks given in this course willingly. If I look at it from the perspective of improving me, It took my technological competence to the next level. It increased my skills in this field by allowing me to learn a lot of applications, unlike the known applications that I can use regarding technology in the field of education.
